Summer ballet classes for teens and adults

The Greenville Ballet School will offer classes for experienced teenage ballet dancers and adults with previous experience starting May 21 and continuing through August.

Adult Ballet is on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The cost is $18 per class or 10 classes for $165. The session runs from June 5 to August 21. You must register in advance for each individual class and each class will only be held if there is sufficient enrollment by 5:00 p.m. that day. Intermediate/Advanced Ballet is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The cost is $15 per class. The session runs from May 21 to August 21. You must register in advance for each individual class and each class will only be held if there is sufficient enrollment by 2:00 p.m. that day. On each calendar listing, there is a number in parentheses. It starts at 20 and counts down with each enrollment. Adult ballet will be held when it says 16 or fewer. Intermediate/Advanced Ballet will be held if it says 14 or fewer. Once you enroll, you will be charged for the class (if it is held) whether or not you attend. About the Author: Andrew Kuharsky

Mr. Kuharsky is a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School. He was an apprentice with the Joffrey Ballet in New York, a principal dancer with The Atlanta Ballet, and a soloist with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal. He has directed the dance programs at the SC Governor's School for the Arts and the Greenville County Schools' Fine Arts Center.
